Vorsteiner will soon reveal full details about their new project, which is based on Porsche Cayenne II. The name of the project is V-CT.

The full body kit includes a front fascia, side skirt extensions, a rear bumper that has a diffuser, and a roof spoiler. The specialists from Vorsteiner will also fit a titanium exhaust system, and custom rims that have a multi-spoke design. The exhaust system is exclusively offered for the Cayenne S and Cayenne Turbo.
Most likely, Cayenne II S and Cayenne II Turbo will get ECU modifications for better response and more power.

Reports of Volvo and Polestar collaborating on road car offerings appear to be coming to fruition. Following rumors that Volvo had solicited the racing garage's services to increase the output on the S60 and XC60 R-Design models came word that a new line of Performance Concept Prototypes were in the works. Now, Volvo's Australian unit has teamed with both Polestar and Heico Sportiv to produce the prototype you see here.
Called the S60 Performance Project, it's based on the new R-Design model, with the upped 325-horsepower output. So what else have Polestar and Heico squeezed out of the S60? A new exhaust, for starters, and a substantially revised suspension that's been lowered by 15 millimeters with monotube damping and stiffer springs, mounted to new 19-inch alloys wearing Pirelli rubber.
Nothing earth-shattering, then, but Volvo Australia says if there's enough demand, it could offer the sportier sedan through its own dealership network, instead of making customers source parts from aftermarket suppliers. The whole 392 thing was a total coincidence. So says Dodge Challenger chief engineer Tom McCarthy. In 2009, McCarthy and his team were discussing a punch-out of the Challenger SRT8’s rather peaky 6.1-liter V-8 for more midrange torque.
“I always thought that engine was tuned to the horsepower number,” says McCarthy, meaning that to reach the 425-hp benchmark engineers tuned the engine for revs to the detriment of usable torque. McCarthy and his team settled on giving the big-block a 0.9-mm increase in bore to 103.9 and a 3.6-mm stretch to the stroke to 94.5, for a total of 6410 cc.

Originally based off of the GMT400 platform, the first-generation GMC Yukon utilized a truck chassis and in 1994, switched from being offered strictly as a 2-door to adding a 4-door model to the roster. Consequently, the 4-door Yukon weighed in about a half-ton more than the 2-door model. A 5.7L small-block V8 was the standard engine included but a 6.5L turbocharged V8 became available in 1994, as well. In 2000, the Yukon and the Tahoe (both are closely related) were redesigned and moved to the GMT800 platform, at the time the most recent platform for GM's full-size trucks. Smaller yet more powerful engines were introduced to replace the standard 5.7L from the first series, including a 5.3L Vortec V8 capable of topping out at 285 horsepower.

The second-generation Yukon also offered an automatic transmission only and showcased some exterior changes, as well. The outline of the body was now more aerodynamically friendly and the grille was improved for a bolder image. Inside the Yukon, upgraded seats, improved door panels, and a new dash were introduced. When 2003 arrived, the Yukon began to take on even more changes. StabiliTrak, GM's stability control system, arrived. Other amenities such as satellite radio and a DVD entertainment system were also offered. In 2004, the engine options were updated with GMC still leaning on smaller yet more efficient motors. From 2000 to 2008, the GMC Yukon has sold on average 236,561 units per year, easily placing it among the elite in its class in terms of overall popularity.

The Ford Focus was one of the most popular cars bought through the cash-for-clunkers program.

The Transportation Department has extended the cash-for-clunkers filing deadline again, to 8 p.m. EDT tonight after reporting that its computer system for dealers "has been fully operational overnight." In an e-mail to the National Automobile Dealers Association that was confirmed by Transportation spokeswoman Jill Zuckman, the Obama administration said, "The system will be closed to new submissions" after 8 p.m. It was the second deadline extension since last Thursday because of Transportation's computer outages. The original deadline of Monday at 8 p.m. EDT was extended to today, at noon because of blockages stemming from government efforts to increase computer capacity. Zuckman said last night that today's noon deadline would be extended again because of high user volume. At the time, she didn't specify a new deadline. Dealer claims are expected to spike today, the last day of the popular program. Transportation warned today that dealers may still experience delays in accessing the system at peak times because of high volume. "If this occurs, dealers are requested to try again in 30 minutes," the e-mail said. Despite Transportation's assurances, dealer Peter Fetz of Rockaway, N.J., said today, "As of this morning, I cannot log in to the CARS Web site. It is telling me my log-in information is incorrect or my account is locked." Zuckman did not immediately respond to a question asking when Transportation computers became ""fully operational." As of yesterday morning, dealers had entered 635,186 transactions seeking $2.65 billion in reimbursement. If dealer claims top the $3 billion limit set by Congress, the administration may have to go back to Congress for more money. Congress is in recess until after Labor Day. NADA had been seeking another extension because of the blockages of dealer access to the system. "We're pleased that Transportation has responded," NADA spokesman Bailey Wood said. "We hope that any further computer problems will be dealt with in a similar manner."
